“Chigung” (work with chi) is a practice of moving meditation and gentle shifting of awareness designed to help one more clearly feel the flow of “chi” (energy), and to help it circulate in a healthier uninhibited flow.
“Ai Xin-tai” Chigung is a system of chigung dedicated to helping us more deeply feel:
- “Ai Chi,” or the most loving, compassionate and harmonious flow of chi (or ki) between every living being and thing; and
- “Xin-tai,” or the ‘Newly-born’ liberation of clarity, and feel how liberated Clarity (as motivated by “Ai”) can flow and guide through its flow.
Because one’s chigung can only go as far as one’s meditation goes deep, Ai Xin-tai is designed as a companion practice to a core meditation practice of release / surrender into stillness (from any school or tradition), as flow can only truly be felt from a place of greater stillness.
Classes led by Isa Douglas Asland, who began his study of chigung in 1994 at the Wahlum School in Knoxville, TN, and continued with more focused study / training throughout the U.S. for the next 17 years. In 2011, Isa Asland began to offer classes in Gainesville, FL. This soon revealed the need for a more defined curriculum for students, which led to the systemization of key practices in 2013 into what thereafter became the “Ai Xin-tai” system of chigung.
