How do we hold our sense of self? How is this related to how we are holding our sense of “reality?’ From the Buddhist perspective, the answers to these questions are subtle and different for each individual, and can change over time. As we approach the teachings of the Buddha, we learn to become more skillful in the way we are holding, and we learn how to let go and open into more spacious and connected ways of being.
The Progressive Stages of Meditation on Emptiness is a way of approaching these questions, and provides a wonderful way to study and practice the entire breadth of the Dharma.
The class will serve as an ongoing “Introduction to Buddhism” and drop-ins are welcome.
