All vehicles of Buddhism have vows that we use as a method to cross out of confusion and gain liberation from our delusions. In the Tantrayana, vows involve what we may perceive to be bonds with humans and this notion has caused great complexity and often consternation for Buddhists.
How are we as practitioners to rectify a bond or commitment with a being, and our own liberation?
In this talk designed for Vajrayana practitioners, Lama Rangbar will work to clarify many of the misconceptions westerners have when developing their relations with their Lamas or Vajrayana preceptors in an effort to bring ease and fulfillment to the path.
Lama Rangbar Nyima Ozer, Adam Friedensohn, has studied and practiced extensively within the Vajrayana tradition for over 35 years under the guidance of many renowned Nyingmapa masters such as his root Lama, His Holiness Dudjom Jigdral Yeshe Dorje, H.H. Dungse Shenphen Dawa Rinpoche, the Lord of Refuge, Chadral Sangye Dorje Rinpoche, HE Namkha Drimed Rabjam Rinpoche, Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche, Lama Tharchin Rinpoche, Kyabje Trulshig Rinpoche, Lama Kunzang Dorje Rinpoche and Acharya Dawa Chodrak Rinpoche. During his 25 years living, working and practicing in Nepal, Lama Rangbar established several organizations in the fields of solar and renewable energy technologies for remote villages, electric vehicles and philanthropy through the Himalayan Light Foundation. In the USA, Lama is the founder of The Bodhivastu Foundation for Enlightened Activity and is responsible for the operation and spiritual guidance of several Dudjom Tersar Buddhist meditation centers including The Academy of Mantric Disciplines and Big Indian Meditation Retreat and Healing Sanctuary in New York, Dechen Mingurling Meditation Retreat center in Sankhu Vajrayogini, Nepal and Samten Osel Choling in Heidelberg Germany.
